A sigh of relief just came over the Atlantic City area.
Resorts Casino and Hotel plans to spend $60 million in the first half of 2013 on upping their game. Big renovations and an expansion are planned to make Resorts more of a player in the Atlantic City gaming and hotel market.
In addition to the $35 million Jimmy Buffett-themed Margaritaville entertainment complex, Resorts is also renovating hotel rooms, remodeling bathrooms, adding a food court and two new VIP players’ lounges! Laying new carpet in the casino, and even improving the parking garage are also on the list.
The hurricane delayed the Margaritaville project by only a week, and it remains on track to open by Memorial Day weekend in May 2013. The Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville project includes the It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere bar, the Landshark Bar & Grill, , and the Margaritaville Casino, a Buffett-themed slot area.
I’m very excited that this project is on track. I can’t wait to see Resorts Atlantic City when everything is ready.
